Camp Lumina is an immersive interdisciplinary writing camp at the intersection of Literature, Philosophy, and Culture. By leveraging literature as a tool for authentic expression, along with the philosophical exploration of identity, Camp Lumina offers a unique environment for refining writing skills, drawing inspiration from renowned authors, whilst subtly guiding participants on a profound journey of self-discovery.

Camp Lumina is a recurring annual event, with the inaugural launch in summer 2024, with each year focusing on a different theme. This ensures that participants can continue their journey of self-discovery and personal growth, building on the knowledge and experiences gained from previous camps and at the same time meeting with new participants who bring in fresh, interesting and diverse perspectives.

Camp Lumina is open to individuals aged 13-22 who have a passion for writing and a desire to explore their identity through literature and philosophy.

All-in cost for 2-day Camp Lumina is VND 1,990,000. Candidates who register before April 30 or receive an invitation, if selected, will receive a 10% discount on the participation fee.

Backed by a team of educators, writers, and philosophers dedicated to nurturing young talent and encouraging creative exploration, Camp Lumina promises an enriching and exciting experience delving into the world of literature, philosophy and culture for all participants.

Camps Lumina is the inaugural project at the heart of The Penlogue, a literary journal that believes in the art of writing as a means of self-discovery and growth. While The Penlogue serves as a platform for editing and showcasing submissions, Camp Lumina takes this a step further by actively accompanying writers on their creative journeys. Led by authors that represent esteemed generations of excellence, participants engage in intensive workshops where they learn to craft stories, collaborate with peers, and delve into the unique writing processes of these distinguished authors.

Participants will engage in writing workshops, philosophical discussions, group activities, and creative exercises inspired by renowned authors. There will also be opportunities for peer feedback and collaborative projects.

Yes, Camp Lumina offers financial assistance for eligible participants. Please note that shortlisted candidates can apply for financial support (e.g. transport support from other provinces to Hanoi) through our website during the registration process.
